You will notice a device we are using in many of our muskie pictures. Its called a Boga Grip. This is a great tool for locking onto the fish and especially helpful when releasing muskies. While keeping the fish in the water, I then transfer the Boga to the client and we prepare for a quick picture session. I have the client pull the muskie out of the water, immediately position the fish for the picture and immediately after snapping some quick pictures and a measurement, the client is instructed to return the fish immediately to the water.

The sound of a screaming reel clicker is the second most exciting sound of the day. Not every hit equates into a fish. Often times in trolling we will get a strike and have a foot or two or more, of line suddenly ripped out of the reel. Then nothing. This sets off those loud trolling reel clickers. We call that a "rip". Once a client hears that sound, their ear is tuned in to it for the rest of the day.
